Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0983845A2] The wetting fluid applicator, in an offset printing press assembly, has a screen roller (8) working with a chamber dispenser (9). Screen roller (8) transfers the fluid to a following applicator roller (7), transfer roller or the forme cylinder. Screen roller (8) has a hydrophilic surface. Roller speeds are controlled to set the delivery rate of the wetting fluid.
