[origin: EP0983871A1] The machine has a first path (10) carrying documents to a folding module, a second path (20) for empty envelopes to an insertion module (25), a third path (30) for filled and closed envelopes, and a fourth path (40) for publicity inserts or reply envelopes. It has a fifth path (50) connected at its intake end to a second input for inserts or replay envelopes and at its outlet end to a second insertion module operating through the folding module with no passage for folding pockets (152).
