Abstract (en)
Cleaning equipment for escalators, travelators and conveyors has rotating cleaning brushes (42) which brush the moving track (12). The equipment is pushed onto the bottom end of the escalator with the rear section pressed down onto firm ground and to press the friction wheel (50) onto the moving track. No separate drive is required. The brushes remove debris from the track as it passes under the brushes. The cleaning process can take several circuits of the track elements.

Eine Vorrichtung (10) zum Reinigen einer Förderfläche (12) eines Stetigförderers (14), insbesondere der Trittfläche einer Rolltreppe oder eines Rollbandes, weist zumindest ein in Rotation versetzbares Bürstenmittel (42) zum Entfernen von Schmutz von der Förderfläche (12) auf. Es ist zumindest ein Antriebsmittel (48) für das Bürstenmittel (42) vorgesehen, das mit einem sich bewegenden Teil des Stetigförderers (14) in Eingriff bringbar ist, und das Bewegungsenergie vom laufenden Stetigförderer (14) abnimmt. Das Antriebsmittel (48) überträgt die von dem Stetigförderer (14) abgenommene Bewegungsenergie auf das Bürstenmittel (42), wodurch dieses in Rotation versetzt wird. <IMAGE>
