Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0984119A2] A door latch fitting has the square operating bar, to which is fitted the door handle, fitted with a spring element to take up any play in the fitting. Two adjacent sides of the bar are machined to form a recess to take the spring strip. The edge between the machined sections is rounded (4) to allow the spring strip to flex. The spring strip is shaped with sprung profiles and has a V-shaped profile with an angle of 90 deg. The spring is made from metal strip and extends for the length of the bar.
