[origin: EP0984122A1] Two diametrically opposed locking bars (18) have relatively offset locking projections (19) so that each tip of an opposing projection reaches into a common plane to enable the lock plug (3) to rotate. The bars have oblique flanks to controllably displace each bar from its locking recess (13,16) in the closing movement. The side profiles of the lock key (4) are made up of arcuate grooves (25) and the crest line of the feeler heads (19) conforms to the groove shape. The displacement plane of the bars (18) is spaced from the diametral plane. The key tip has control ramps in roof shape to issue into the broad sides of the key.
