Abstract (en)
The method involves using a microprocessor to examine a text for language-characterising words or character combinations, to identify the language. The text is converted into word syllables using an algorithm created for the identified language, for reproduction via a loudspeaker. The language which occurs most in the identification stage is selected. The text is received by a vehicle by wireless means and output to the driver. A facsimile transmission received from a mobile radio unit is resolved into text characters and output acoustically. An e-mail system may be coupled to the mobile radio unit.

Bei einem Verfahren zum akustischen Ausgeben von Text und einem Sprachausgabesystem wird ein Text von einem Mikroprozessor (1; 7) auf für eine Sprache charakteristische Wörter- oder Abkürzungen untersucht, um die Sprache des Textes zu identifizieren. Der Text wird anschließend mit einem Algorithmus, der speziell für die identifizierte Sprache geschaffen ist, in Wortsilben umgerechnet und über einen Lautsprecher wiedergegeben. <IMAGE>
