Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9729043A1] A device for opening an ampoule with a tapered tip connected to the body of the ampoule and provided with a separable end portion. The device consists of a cap (1) with a recess (2) having an opening (6) in one surface of the cap (1) and shaped in such a way that the end portion of the tapered tip (16) of the ampoule (15) may be inserted therein. The contact portion (11) engaging the tapered tip is frusto-conical and has an opening angle matching that of the outer surface of the frusto-conical tapered tip (16) of the ampoule (15), while the inlet portion (10) is also frusto-conical and has a greater opening angle than said contact portion (11). The device is particularly useful in the field of pharmaceuticals, parapharmaceuticals, foodstuffs and dietary products.
