[origin: WO9949640A1] The inventive mobile communications device comprises a transmitting unit and a receiving unit, a sensor for inputting characters, and a processor unit. Said device is used for directly carrying out actions which are determined with characters input by the sensor. The device is also provided with a display for showing the input characters before the action is carried out. One possible action is the dialling of a telephone number which has been input by the sensor.
