[origin: DE19834365A1] The walls (45, 46) of the container (40) are opposite each other in the closing region. An expanding tool (24) is lowered until the expanding rolls (16, 17) lie opposite one wall (46), and the tool is then rotated. The expanding rolls are moved radially outwards, expanding the closing region of the container until its components are locked positively to each other.

Bei einem Verpackungsbehälter (40) mit einem Unterteil (41) und einem Verschlußelement (42) aus Blech liegen sich im Verschlußbereich Wände (45,46) gegenüber. Ein Expandierwerkzeug (24) wird abgesenkt, bis Expandierrollen (16,17) gegenüber der Wand (46) liegen. Das Expandierwerkzeug (24) wird um seine Längsachse (22) gedreht. Die Expandierrollen (16,17) werden radial nach außen bewegt und expandieren dabei den Verschlußbereich des Verpackungsbehälters (40) bis zu einer formschlüssigen Verriegelung seiner Einzelteile miteinander. <IMAGE>
