[origin: DE19722368A1] For big-game fishing artificial baits are used. Such baits like a wobbling spoon and a blinker are usually pulled in water by the fisher in such a way that they imitate by their bowed shape the movements of real fish. The imitation of nature by certain baits, however, is often inefficient with careful fish. This is why the inventive artificial bait has a caudal fin (3) which can be actively actuated in one direction or the other by means of a pulling member (9) meshing with both flanks (12, 13). Owing to additional breaks in the movement and an elastic design of the caudal fin (3) a particularly misleading imitation of a true fish behaviour is obtained, resulting in optimal bait efficiency, including with big game.
