[origin: WO9855232A1] The invention relates to a product that can increase the volume of a well of a multiwell plate, preferably a 96-well plate, so that manipulations requiring larger volume or higher dilutions are performed. The adapter (10) consists of a matrix of inter-connected, open bottom wells (12) that have substantially the same well spacing as the plate whose volume the adapter is designed to increase. Wells (12) are inter-connected by a support structure (22).
