[origin: US5904420A] An improved frame is disclosed for automatic paint stirring equipment of the type which stirs cans of paint in a side-by-side relationship. Each can includes a cover having a stirring element rotatably mounted to the cover and a driven member secured to the stirring element. The improved frame includes a plurality of substantially identical drive assemblies wherein each drive assembly includes a drive mechanism for engaging and rotatably driving the drive members on the paint can covers. Each drive assembly furthermore includes an elongated planar top having two ends and which forms a shelf for supporting the paint cans. At least one, and preferably two, connectors are secured to each end of each drive assembly. Each connector has an upper and lower cylindrical portion which extend respectively above and below its associated drive assembly. A plurality of elongated tubular cylindrical supports then secure the drive assemblies together in a spaced apart and parallel relationship. The lower end of each support slidably receives the upper cylindrical of one connector while, similarly, the upper end of each support slidably receives the lower cylindrical portion of the connector on the next higher drive assembly. A pin and channel arrangement between the supports and the connectors releasably locks the supports and connectors together.

La présente invention concerne un châssis pour machine automatique à mélanger la peinture pour remuer des boîtes de peinture (126) caractérisé en ce que chaque boîte de peinture présente un couvercle muni d'un élément d'agitation (128) tournant et un élément mené (124), le châssis comprenant : une pluralité d'ensembles d'entraînement (12), pour entraîner en rotation lesdits éléments menés (124), des moyens (24, 36) de raccordement formant des étagères comprenant en outre au moins un raccord (24) connecté audit ensemble d'entraînement (12) de telle sorte que ladite partie cylindrique inférieure (28) s'étende depuis un côté inférieur de son ensemble d'entraînement (12) associé et que ladite partie cylindrique supérieure (26) s'étende depuis un côté supérieur de son ensemble d'entraînement (12) associé, une pluralité de supports cylindriques (36) tubulaires allongés ouverts à chaque extrémité, une extrémité dudit support étant dimensionnée pour recevoir par coulissement ladite partie cylindrique supérieure (26) et l'autre extrémité dudit support (36) étant dimensionnée pour recevoir par coulissement ladite partie cylindrique inférieure (28) dudit raccord (24) sur l'ensemble d'entraînement (12) supérieur suivant à partir dudit premier ensemble d'entraînement (12). <IMAGE>
