[origin: EP0987496A2] The cooking panel or hob (2) has at least two cooking or boiling points. At least one of the cooking points (2,3) is designed as a rapid heating up cooking point. A fast heating cooking point has a heat conductor made from round wire, flat wire, a foil, ceramic panel or a halogen heating unit. The cooking point is operated by a pulse-packet control with the introduction of a triac (5).
