Cathode with micro tips (10) for flat screen display comprising cathode conductors (3) between a substrate (1) and an isolating layer (4) of a grid comprises a layer (20) with a low coefficient of bonding visible at least between the lines of the grid. Preferably this layer (20) is alumina, zinc oxide, chromium oxide, amorphous carbon, or silicon nitride.
