Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0987795A1] The shunt mechanical connector insertion release mechanism releases a short circuit shunt (30) on the mechanical insertion of a connector (28). The drive mechanism is a moving section (90) moving in an outer sliding channel. Prior to insertion the shunt contacts are short circuited, whilst immediately after insertion the short circuit is removed.
