Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2764166A1] The invention concerns a method for optimising irrigation in cultivated fields using a pivoting water gun mounted on a mobile carriage, the method for irrigating a field over length L and width double the water gun range (P) consists in: dividing the irrigation zone in three successive zones, i.e. an initial watering zone (ZD), an intermediate zone (ZI) and a final watering zone (ZF); and in watering the initial watering zone (ZD) and/or the final watering zone (ZF) by alternating at least one time-delay during which the carriage is immobilised and a displacement of the carriage at a predetermined speed over a distance corresponding to a water gun range, to optimise the water supply relative to that supplied in the intermediate zone by limiting the deficiency in water (d1, d2) at the beginning and at the end of the irrigating operation.
