Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2763840A1] The invention concerns a wheelchair with flexible suspension designed to absorb and filter vibrations. The rear axle comprises a triangle (1) fixed on a box-beam, a steering swivel pin (15) bearing the wheel (R) and a shock absorbing strut (6) supported on a central shock absorber (10). The small wheels are mounted on a double system (21, 26) which filters the vibrations. The invention provides better comfort and compensates rolling motion; it also enables the passage from indoors to outdoors without modifying wheel camber angle and has a moulded shell for greater stability.
