[origin: DE19724204A1] The invention relates to a method and a device, for the injection moulding of a plastic body with an internal thread, preferably a screw cap. The plastic body is injection moulded in a mould cavity of a tool. A core (50), comprising an external thread (49) which is complementary to said internal thread, is arranged in the mould cavity. The internal thread and the external thread are formed from thread segments or thread sections (51a 51d) distributed over the periphery thereof with axially running gaps, or gap sections (52a 52d) between them. The injected plastic body is removed from the core (50). The region of the gap sections (52a 52d) is filled before the injection of the plastic with removable packing bodies, in particular, sliding bodies (53a 53b). The packing bodies are removed from the gap sections (52a 52d) after the injection of the plastic. The core (50) and/or the plastic body are rotated relative to the other about the axis (14) of the thread (49), such that the thread sections (51a 51d) correspond to the gaps. The plastic body is then removed axially from the core.
