Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19724523C1] The invention relates to a quick action nut for fixing the wheel rim of a vehicle wheel on an end of a shaft of a balancing machine, said end having an outer thread. The inventive quick action nut comprises a housing, at least one handle, said handle being positioned essentially radially on said housing, and an inner thread. A thread part (66) is connected to the housing (2). Said thread part (66) is able to turn around the screw axis of the quick action nut, opposite said housing, and has an inner thread (64). The thread part (66) also communicates with the driving face of a rotary drive device (10), said rotary drive device being connected to the housing. After being switched on, the rotary drive device performs the difficult and time-consuming screwing process during which the wheel rim is pulled against a centering cone counter to spring resistance.
