[origin: WO9857434A1] The invention relates to a car radio, comprising a base section (BAS) securely built into the vehicle, a dismountable operating and telephone unit (BTE) having a key panel (TAF) to operate the telephone and at least partially the car radio, a display (DIS 1) for telephone and car radio functions, an interface (SCH) at least for the telephone antenna, audio lines, control lines and a power supply. When dismounted, the operating and telephone unit (BET) can be used as an autonomous mobile telephone and as a hands-free mobile telephone or car radio control device when connected to the base section.
