Abstract (en)
A two-stage prestressing process is applied to the section leaving the extruder, before parting-off. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding machine. Prestressing comprises two stages. In the first, the emerging section (1) is located on a resting block (4) near its center (10). Here, a first force causes the assembly to flex, accompanied by extension of the material along the direction of extrusion. In the second stage, the section (1) is held (3) in place at both ends (2, 2'). A second force is applied. Cutting takes place, from above, using a blade (5) vertically aligned with the rest (4) reaction force which acts on the underside of the extension. The blade is rotary. The rest is resilient (e.g. polyurethane); or else it is rigid and has a central groove, allowing the knife to pass. Clamping may precede contact with the rest.

L'invention concerne un procédé de coupe en continu de profilés en matière plastique extrudée, par exemple des panneaux décoratifs ou des éléments creux obtenus par extrusion, comportant une étape préalable en deux temps de mise en précontrainte du profilé en sortie d'extrudeuse et avant tranchage. La pièce ou profilé (1) est positionnée sur un bloc d'appui (4) au niveau de sa partie médiane (10). Une première contrainte plus ou moins élevée est exercée sur la zone (10) de la pièce (1) et provoque une déformation par flexion de l'ensemble, avec extension de matière dans le sens de l'extrusion. La pièce (1) est ensuite maintenue en position par des moyens de blocage (3) agissant, de part et d'autre de ses extrémités latérales (2, 2') et une deuxième contrainte est ensuite appliquée, avant actionnement des moyens de coupe pour effectuer le tranchage du profilé. <IMAGE>
