[origin: EP0990521A2] The cleaning device has a wash chamber (30) and at least five fixed spray devices (56) which are set along an axis parallel to the axis of the screen roller (64) to spray the cleaning fluid (40) onto the roller at different angles (58) so that at least each two adjoining spra devices are not aligned at the same angle. The screen roller can be mounted on a drive roller (72). A spray guard (76) is provided in the wash chamber.
