Abstract (en)
An electrode of an electron beam production system is positioned in a region of the throat of the picture tube. An additional deflector is arranged at the throat and recesses are arranged in a plane (11) vertical to the moving direction of the electrons in the electron beam. The recesses (10) are provided in the region of the transition between two neighboring sides of the electrode. Color TV or color monitor has a picture tube comprising: an electron beam production system having several electrodes; a deflector unit; a deflecting speed modulator to produce a correction signal for modulating the horizontal deflecting speed of the electron beam; and an additional deflector arranged outside at the throat of the picture tube. The additional deflector has an additional horizontal deflection of the electron beams depending on the correction signal. Farbfernsehgeräte oder Farbmonitore können zur Verbesserung der Bildqualität des wiederzugebenden Eingangsvideosignals eine Farbbildröhre mit einer SVM-Spule aufweisen, die die Horizontalablenkung je nach Bildinhalt beschleunigt oder verzögert. Zur Verbesserung der Wirkung der Scan-Velocity-Modulation bei hohen Frequenzen wird vorzugsweise die Elektrode des Elekronenstrahlzeugungssystems, die sich im Bereich der zusätzlichen SVM-Spule befindet, mit schlitzförmigen Öffnungen (10) versehen. Diese Öffnungen sind ein einer Ebene angeordnet, die senkrecht auf der Bewegungsrichtung der Elektronen in den Elektronenstrahlen steht. Vorteilhafterweise wird ein Segment der Fokussierungselektrode mit den schlitzförmigen Öffnungen versehen. <IMAGE>
