Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9858569A2] The invention relates to a cushion (1) which is used preferably as a supporting, positioning and nursing cushion. The size and firmness of the inventive cushion can be adjusted variably. During pregnancy, for example, a tubular and U-shaped cushion (1) configured according to the invention can be used as a supporting or positioning cushion, said cushion being at its full length, and the filling being loose. For nursing, the size of the cushion (1) can be reduced variably, so that the filling becomes tighter and firmer, by means of a strap (4) located preferably at one end of the cushion cover (2). Said strap (4) can be connected to an anchoring point (5) located preferably on the inner side of said cushion cover (2). The single inventive cushion (1) therefore serves a dual purpose. The cushion (1) can also be used in the area of physiotherapy and patient care. Since the size and firmness of the cushion can be adjusted variably, it offers an excellent means of meeting the needs of the patient or the requirements of the therapy.
