Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9900105A1] A hair styling composition is provided which is particularly suitable for use in the form of a mousse. The composition comprises up to 10 % by weight of an organic adhesive polymer and up to 5 % by weight of an ethoxylated alcohol having an aliphatic chain length of up to 16 carbon atoms and a degree of ethoxylation of from 3 to 20 ethoxy groups per mole, and a solvent such as water. The composition provides a foam which is stable at rest but which readily breaks down under shear to form a creamy liquid which can easily be worked into the hair.
