[origin: WO9900218A1] The invention relates to a flexible abrasive body with a flexible support. This support has a layer of flexible substrate with a first surface-covering metal coating on one side. A second metal coating, in which an abrasive material is at least partially embedded, is applied to this first metal coating. The invention aims to provide an abrasive body having the following properties: high thermal conductibility, high flexibility, high dimensional stability and compactness. To this end, the support (9), consisting of the substrate (2) and the first metal coating (10), is of constant thickness, and the first metal coating (10) has a flat, smooth surface and minimum thickness. Preferably, both the second metal coating (14) and the first metal coating (10) preferably have breaking points (18).
