[origin: WO9858871A1] The invention relates to a bale gripper loader (2) for strapped compressed bales (3). Said bale gripper loader (2) can be attached to a material-handling device (5) by means of a connection element (19) and has gripping tongs (7). The width of said gripping tongs (7) can be adjusted. The tong arms of the gripping tongs (7) are configured as gripping plates (9) which cover the straps (4) of the compressed bale (3) in the closed position. The bale gripper loader (2) is also provided with an ejector (11) for the compressed bale (3), said ejector being located between the gripping plates (9), and a turning device (6) for the gripping tongs (7).
