Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2764969A1] The invention concerns a gas appliance (1) comprising an element (2) controlling a fuel gas flow, a burner (3) comprising a member (4) providing admixture of combustion air to the controlled gas flow, a device (5) for the combustion of the air/fuel gas mixture, a metal conduit (6) transferring the fuel gas at least, connecting the control element outlet and the combustion device intake, a piezoelectric member igniting (7) said mixture, comprising an electrode (8) arranged at a distance from the metal conduit to the earth connection, and a piezoelectric generator (9) connected to the earth and said electrode. The invention is characterised in that the electrode (8) belongs to and is arranged at the end of a semirigid electric wire (11) arranged inside the transfer conduit (6), formed to provide a bent part (11a) braced inside said conduit, and a terminal branch (11b) spaced from said transfer conduit (6) to provide between an exposed end and said conduit a predetermined burn out gap.
