Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0992738A2] The headlamp unit has a cup-shaped light shield (2) positioned between a rear reflector (1) and a lamp glass for covering the light bulb (3) and shielding the direct light emitted by the latter. The light shield has a base (4) provided by a cover attached to a double-walled peripheral sidewall (5) attached to the rear reflector via a support element. The outer wall (9) of the peripheral sidewall and the cover of the light shield are formed from a single sheet metal blank.
