[origin: FR2778200A1] The invention concerns a device comprising at least pliers (7) with two jaws (8) clamping the window (2), adapted to enclose the lower edge (2a) thereof, a backing plate (9) extending laterally one jaw substantially in the plane thereof, a slider (6) shaped to be able to slide one guide rail of the window lift, and means for making the slide integral with the backing plate; in the slide is arranged a clearance (15) adapted to receive the backing plate (9), the latter being provided with side lugs (16, 17) adapted to be capable of sliding up to a stop position on the retaining ramps (18, 19) formed in the slide laterally to said clearance, and means (26, 27) are provided for locking the backing plate in its stop position on the slide. Said device is easy to assemble and has little transverse space requirement.
