Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0993784A1] The crash helmet for a motorcyclist has a visor (3) attached to the shell (2) and a chin piece (4) which can be lifted by rotation over the visor towards the rear of the shell. The chin piece has an axis of rotation offset upwardly with respect to the visor pivot axis (5) to allow pivoting without touching the surface of the visor.
