Abstract (en)
A machine for finishing fabrics in a strand form comprising: a tank (12) having a front section (16) and a rear section (18), a plurality of pneumatic conveying pipes (14a, 14b, 14c) arranged in side by side relationship to each other and fed with respective high speed air flows for dragging respective strand portions from said front section (16) to said rear section (18), and a plurality of folding chambers (28a, 28b, 28c), associated with respective conveying pipes (14a, 14b, 14c), in which the strand portions exiting from the conveying pipes (14a, 14b, 14c) collect in a series of laps, movable from the rear section (18) towards the front section (16). The machine comprises at least a communication aperture (40, 44) between at least one pair of said folding chambers (28a, 28b, 28c) arranged so as to enable the passage of a strand from a folding chamber (28a, 28b, 28c) to an inlet section (20a, 20b, 20c) of a conveying pipe (14a, 14b, 14c) associated with a different folding chamber (28a, 28b, 28c). <IMAGE>
