A monolithic hinge (1) for dump boxes of trucks, trailers or the like, which comprises two metal profiled elements (2,3); the first profiled element (2) is meant to be monolithic with the edge of the flap, while the second profiled element is meant to be monolithic with the side of the corresponding opening of the sidewall of the dump box; the profiled elements (2,3) are adapted to rest against each other in the flap closure configuration and have respective mirror-symmetrical slots (4,5) for the interlocking accommodation of the two wings (7,8) of a strip (6), made of a deformable material, which has a U-shaped cross-section. <IMAGE>
