[origin: WO9858259A1] A method for improving the stability of reagents for detection of antibodies in a sample, comprising: (a) providing a first buffer for the stabilization of polypeptides or proteins attached to a solid support, said buffer containing about 1-20 % sucrose; (b) providing a second buffer for the dilution of the antibody-containing sample and for reacting said immobilized polypeptides with the antibodies present in said sample, said second buffer comprising about 0.05 % (v/v) detergent other than Tween-20.
