Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0995550A2] The bolt cutter has two cutting jaws (14) connected to two handles by articulated joints. The jaws lie in a plane running at right angles to the plane of the levers (22). For cutting horizontal bars the centre line (32) between the two levers in the common plane lies in the plane of the jaws. The ends of the jaws connected to the levers are formed as round bolts which are parts of the joints connecting the levers together.
