Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0995595A1] The printing mechanism has an adjustable upper and fixed lower rubber blanket cylinders (16,18) and adjustable plate cylinders (12,14) on the upper and lower cylinders, whereby the upper and plate cylinders are mounted in bearing housings (40,44) pivotable wrt. the lower cylinder (18). An actuating device (48) acting on the plate cylinder bearing housings via spring elastic arrangements (56) produces an application force on the plate cylinders towards the lower fixed rubber blanket cylinder in the retracted state, and acts on the cylinder bearing housings in the extended state to separate them. The actuator is hydraulic or pneumatic.
