Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0995825A1] A loom with a weft selector mechanism (4) has controllable tensioners (3) for each weft yarn (11,11',11). Each correctly inserted weft yarn is taken round a sensor (51) that provides a signal to programmable electronic controller (8) which adjusts the tensioners (3) allowing for the angle ( alpha ) each yarn makes round the sensor (51). A second sensor can be provided to detect weft yarns incorrectly entrained by the gripper (60).
