Abstract (en)
The descaling cartridge consists of a container (10) of a descaling product which is fitted to the water outlet (16) and left in place until the scale is removed. The container can have an elastic upper edge of suitable dimensions for fitting onto the outlet with a seal, and the descaling product can be in a plug (18) of an elastic sponge material inside it. In variants of the design the container can have an aperture in its side wall covered by a membrane to allow a pumping action, and it can be held in place on the outlet by a clamp.
