Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0995864A2] The system has a closure element (12) rotatably mounted in a cylinder element (10), esp. a replacement part for a standard format cylinder, for actuating a lock. A coupling assembly (14) rotatably mounted in the cylinder element can be moved from an idle state into a drive state for rotational coupling with the closure element. A key (16) can be rotationally coupled via the coupling assembly to the closure element and an electromechanical control unit (20) adjusts the coupling assembly. The control unit is mounted on one side of the closure element, so that the door's inner side and coupling assembly can be actuated from the other side of the closure element with a key. The key carries a communications unit for exchanging data with the control unit. An electric circuit made to actuate the coupling assembly contains a connection between the communications unit and the control unit. Independent claims are also included for a key, a coupling unit, a sliding element and a switching unit for a closure system.
