The invention relates to container, such as an aerosol can, that can be held with one hand, whereby the end area of the outer shell of said aerosol can is widened at least on the lid side in order to improve handling safety and stop it from slipping. Said widening is performed by permanently deforming the cylindrical shell of the can or by placing a ring cap thereon.

Für einen insbesondere einhändig haltbaren Behälter, beispielsweise eine Aerosoldose wird vorgeschlagen, zumindest den deckelseitigen Endbereich (41) des Dosenaußenmantels (4) aufzuweiten, wodurch die Haltesicherheit gegen Abrutschen verbessert wird. Die Aufweitung kann insbesondere durch bleibende Verformung eines zylindrischen Dosenmantels oder durch Aufsetzen eines Ringaufsatzes (7) erfolgen. <IMAGE>
