[origin: WO9905182A1] Catalyst system useful for the preparation of substantially terminally unsaturated polyolefins comprises metallocene complexes containing ligands based on triflate, diketonic or beta -ketoesters. Preferred complexes are suitable for use with cocatalysts to prepare polymers having > 97 % vinylidene terminal unsaturation suitable for functionalisation and subsequent use as fuel and lubricant additives, dispersants wax modifiers, viscosity index improvers and the like.
