[origin: EP0999045A1] The protective device is fitted o a printing form intended to be fitted onto the cylinder of a rotary printing press. The end regions of the printing form are held in clamping devices of the cylinder. The printing form has a surface prepared for printing. The printing region of the printing form (1) is covered with a pull-off shielding (4). When the printing form is pulled onto the cylinder (11), the shielding can be pulled off.
