[origin: EP0999046A1] The lifting inking mechanism has a lifting roll followed by inking mechanism rolls and ink application rolls, at least one of which rotates at a different circumferential speed to the printing form. At least the inking mechanism roll (3) after the lifting roll (2) can be driven at a reduced circumferential speed compared with that of the printing form cylinder (13). The subsequent inking mechanism rolls (5,7-11) and ink application rolls (13) rotate at the same circumferential speed as the printing form cylinder.
