[origin: EP0999310A1] The road safety barrier has a spacer (11) between each lower rib (4) of the barrier and each post extension (2) to forma gap between them, so that the upper and lower flanges (9,10) of the barrier are offset from the post extension. Each spacer is in two sections with the section adjacent to the barrier of lower strength than the inner section.
