[origin: EP0999353A1] The casing (1) is for an engine with a lubrication system and with in-line cylinders (2) and integrated fuel supply. It has a spiral coolant pump casing (3) offset towards the induction side of the engine, with integrated thermostat casing (8).molded onto an integrated control shaft cover (9) downstream of a bypass channel (7). The input channel (5) is integrated in the control shaft cover and extends into the long side of the engine. The return channels (29) are connected to chambers flushed by coolant from the input channel (5).
