[origin: EP0999409A2] The recessed ceiling lamp (1) has a lamp housing (2) provided with at least one carrier element for a support arm (41) which is pivoted about a vertical axis, adjusted vertically via a setting device. The lamp housing has an opening in the vicinity of the carrier element through which the end of the latter carrying the support arm fits, with the pivot axis lying within the lamp housing.
