[origin: DE19731447A1] The inventive loom harness contains a top part with a top and bottom harness board (3, 5), harness cords (2), said harness cords being guided into the through holes (4) of the top harness board (3) together and into the through holes (6) of the bottom harness board (5) individually, and with snap hooks (1) for connecting the harness cords to the Jacquard device, and a bottom part with return motion elements and heddles. The harness cords are arranged in such a way that one row of the arrangement of harness cords in the top harness board is reproduced weftwise (A) in an identical sequence in the harness repeats in the bottom harness board, and the sections which are guided in a through hole in the top harness board cross at least one of the sections guided through the adjacent through hole in the top harness board. The inventive system reduces the strain on the harness cords and increases the speed at which the loom operates.
