[origin: WO9906647A1] In order for the voids between the crown or arris tiles (15) and the roofing tiles (12) having either a smooth top side or a grooved head to be reliably sealed, it is suggested that a sealing mat in the form of a flexible, waterproof and airy roll strip with pressure-sensitive side strips be used. Said side strips (6) are intended to pre-form and pre-glue the sealing mat (10) on the roofing tiles. The side strip (6) underside is protected by a film to be removed when laying the sealing mat (10). At least the side strips (6) have a top side which is coated with woven material (5) resembling a knitted or meshed fabric of a high elasticity transversally to the sealing mat, so that said woven material (5) is expandable mainly lengthways, thereby enabling the side strips (6) to be adjusted to both the tile shape and the roofing pattern (12).
