[origin: DE19823419A1] The invention relates to an insulation inserted in-between roof rafters (5), having the shape of an unfolding insulating layer (2) fitted with an air-blocking sheet and having open pores, which extends beyond the edges on both sides and has the same thickness as the roof rafters. The invention provides a useful and advantageous solution by allocating a sheet (roof substrate strip) that extends beyond the edges (4', 4'') on both sides, that is waterproof yet allows vapor to pass through and that is fitted on the insulating layer (2) on the side opposite to the air-blocker (3).
