The clamping nut can be screwed onto the end of the spindle. There is an annular cover round the nut, which is able to rotate about the spindle relative to the nut. The cover is formed by an angled ring (7), the axial edge of which has an external diameter greater than that of the nut. Its radial edge has an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the nut.

Eine Spannmutter zum lösbaren Befestigen eines insbesondere scheibenförmigen Werkzeugs auf einer angetriebenen Spindel einer Handwerkzeugmaschine, insbesondere Winkelschleifmaschine ist auf das Ende einer Spindel aufschraubbar. Um einen unerwünschten Kontakt zwischen der Spannmutter und einem zu bearbeitenden Werkstück zu vermeiden, wird eine die Spannmutter umfassende, ringförmige Abdeckung vorgeschlagen, die gegenüber der Spannmutter um die Spindel herum drehbar angeordnet ist. <IMAGE>
